Photos from the Punjab

An olive tree near Agrigento. Photo Jona Lendering. In May-June 2004, the guys standing to the right, Marco Prins and Jona Lendering, visited Pakistan, paying special attention to sites related to Alexander the Great, who conquered this area in 327-325 BCE. Of course there's a lot more to be seen in Pakistan (Lahore is one of the most fascinating cities in the world), but the fact that one of us was writing a book on 'Sikander-e Azam' more or less forced us to make this selection.

Unless otherwise indicated, pictures on this page © Marco Prins and Jona Lendering. Photos can be downloaded and used for non-commercial purposes, but you have to acknowledge Livius. If available, large, high resolution pictures are available on request.
