Four notes on copyright

1. Texts by the authors of this website are for free distribution only; you can copy, re-format and redistribute their texts for use on computers, computer networks or as a printed publication, provided that
• you charge no fees for their distribution,
• mention the name of the original author and
• add a link to www.livius.org (this means that if you want to use it outside the world wide web, you will have to write us).
2. Otherwise, all rights reserved. In case you want to use our texts for commercial purposes, please contact us.
3. Please note that several quoted translations are copyrighted to people that are not related to Livius. The translators are always mentioned. Obviously, these quotations can only be copied if you mention the name of the original translator. We believe that quoting them is "fair use"; we have no intention to test this in front of the judge, but the only time someone wrote us about it, he agreed with us. Nevertheless, if you feel we do something wrong, drop a line, and we'll see what we can do.
