Tiberius Gemellus (19 or 20 - 37): name of a Roman prince, grandson of the emperor Tiberius.

Life

  • 19 or 20: born as the son of Drusus the Younger and Livilla; his official name is Tiberius Julius Caesar; he has a twin brother named Germanicus
  • 23 Death of Germanicus
  • 23, 14 September: death of Drusus the Younger
  • 31 or 32: called to Capri by the emperor Tiberius and made co-heir, together with Caligula
  • Made augur
  • 16 March 37: Death of the emperor Tiberius, who is succeeded by Caligula
  • Caligula adopts Gemellus
  • Gemellus receives the titles of Princeps Iuventutis and Frater arvalis
  • Late 37: executed, buried on the Field of Mars
