Pacorus

Pacorus: little-known king of Armenia (r. c.150 - 162 CE), probably from the Arsacid dynasty.

To us, king of Pacorus of Armenia is merely a name. According to the Historia Augusta, the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius (r.138-161), appointed this Pacorus king of the Lazi, a nation living on the south-eastern shore of the Black Sea.note He must be the same who lost his realm in the war between the Romans and Parthians that broke out when Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus became emperors (161 CE). He may have been a successor of Vologases III.
